Hi,
This discussion is for parents. I've been on this forum for a couple of months and I notice that one of the main concerns of many young parents in Punggol has to do with their children's educational and developmental growth. As such, I was thinking of starting a parent-sharing group on issues that centre on young children's development. For example, we can focus on one or more issues over one or several sessions. Topics for discussion can include: children's early literacy development; children's social-emotional growth, IT and young children etc. The discussion will not be mere coffee-shop talk but we'd be looking at research as well as practical examples and tips etc. and everyone is free to join in the discussion and suggest topics for the next discussion. I'm doing this as a community service and out of my passion in early childhood education as well as my personal belief that parents can be empowered in their learning journey with their children. Note that this is not a playgroup for children although we can discuss how best to include our little ones during the sharing session. If you are interested and have ideas to offer to kickstart the group, please email me at
