Do you know how long it takes to collect your renewal passport ??

Last saturaday i went to collect my renewal passport. To my shock, the crowd is scarly. I queue to get a ticket number and the flashing screen indicate 2.5hr to collect the passport.  In actual case, it tooks me 4 long hour before i collected the passport.

There are babies crying, people sitting, lying over the carpet.  Really cannot believe the efficiency  of service we're getting in Singapore Gov sector.

4 hours!!! that was really too long.
I went on the evening where all the other department was closed expect the passport collection department.
All offices close around 5 pm expect the passport section is around 7pm
So if you go within 5-7pm, usually no queue.
For me, it took less than 10 mins.

I went weekdays, they asked me to come back within 1/2 hr to collect. May be Sat is a very very peak hours.

I guess i choose a wrong day to collect my passport. I pity those ladies with babies in their arm crying, they don't have a choice as the babies have to be present when collecting their passport.
Maybe they should allow collection of renewal passport at some cc to help to ease the crowd.
