Hi am a resident of Punggol and recently just got a new contractor to do chemical wash on my aircon.
I was very shock that this new contractor simply spray chemical on the fan coil without taking it down, and followby a 2.5l of water spray on the fan coil, claiming this is sufficient to clean all the dirt and chemical it has spray on my fan coil. Thereafter, he just merely use the vacuum cleaner to suck out some of the residual water..

Is this acceptable for a chemical wash on the aircon? Anyone encounter such servicing? because all along, when I have chemical wash, the contractor will bring down the whole unit, bring to the toilet and spray the chemical and use the water jet to flush out all the dirt and chemical.. This new method of chemical wash seems more detrimental to the aircon and safe.. as I believe the chemical stays there and its more a health hazard to breath in the chemical..

Anyone can help to give some comments?

hi i have never tried chemical wash but i can share how i use to keep my split ac clean ,,once a month i open the front window (from where the air is coming) ,, and take out the filter and just wash it with  plain water and soft brush ,,and just wipe clean the ac with a cloth to remove dust
and once in six month get some one for servicing , they use a vaccum to suck out all the dirt tht might be stuck ,, if u have wet vaccum this can be diy too
