I like to get the fish/seafood there. personally I think the prices are ok cos my kids like to eat salmon, cordfish, sheng yu, sotong, sting ray. most importanly is tt the fishes are fresh (b4 the mkt was opened, the fishes i got from ntuc were not as fresh and the smell was very strong.)
anyway, most of the wet markets have been upgraded, so rental increases, the stallholders have to charge abit more to cover.
Veges stalls sellers are helpful. able to tell you how to cook the vege, if in doubt.
but as for the fruit stalls, not so cheap compare the usual fruits, apples, oranges  to ntuc. the first stall ppl also got attitude problem!
last but not least, the beef is also cheap.
lastly, the soya bean is tasty! Cheesy

The pork store next to the grocery store has a man.. the old one with black rimed glasses, quite pushy.. be careful... he will chop up the meat and force u to buy
