it's not just the "staring" part.  it's the noise they make too.  when i was practicing at upper thomson last time, there's windows next to the spot where we practice.. when pple walk past a bit, drag their sandals or shoes, they'd break the peace.  the teacher was making alot of effort to make us relax with the music.  everytime pple in the centre forget and talk a little loudly or giggle outside our practice area, she'd help us go out and tell them to lower their volume.  at the end of the lesson, she gave us a very nice oil massage at our heads and necks.  so we really appreciated her.
