17 yr old is old enough to understand what is right & wrong.
& old enough to take responsibility for his own action. His father is just showing his son a bad example by kneeling down & begging for forgiving on behalf of his son. What msg was he trying to tell him??!!
Yes, a father will do anything for his son. Rather than doing what he did, He should make his son kneel instead.

True ! This 17 year-old also has girlfriend and I think he should do things like a man. Take responsibility for his own actions. How can the father do this on his behalf ?

Good schools foster and build IQ, not EQ. As such these school breed Elitism. I am sure some of us had the opportunity to meet students from good schools and neighbourhood ones. So my statement not unfounded. The school should at least make him do some community work, with SBS deciding the work.

Surprising thing is, I didn't know Hwa Chong has boxing as a CCA...  Tongue

What our Elite schools bleeding nowadays??
Remember the AMK MP's daughter incident?
It is sad to see good schools producing so-called elite students, which may become future leaders. SIGH!!!!!!
