Record sales at the recent Information Technology exhibition at Suntec. Somewhere in the region of 59 million were spent by Singaporeans buying hi-tech equipments. Others are ungrading.  Smiley Where does the money come from ? Spare money ? Or money the Govt. gives for the needy and the elderly ?

Interesting is'nt it ?

On one hand, we have the jobless, no income, on the other hand we still have people who are still willing to spent on non-food items. Where is the logic ?  oops

The reason, I suspect, is that a lot of ppl are buying in installments.  Enjoy now and pay later.  Often, they are offered no interest installments. The idea is great as  the same amount can get you a lot more things but ppl forgot that their pay is not guaranteed and jobs are no longer secure.  The wise person always pay on time and does not live on credits.
