The best is not to get car. Once I got back from US, I do not see car as a necessity at all. Spore is very small, but quite convenient. With a car, it can easily set you back easily 12 to 15K every year. Maybe, I am an accountancy graduate so I am miore careful with $$ But really unless, you have young children, then do not get one. I will train my children next time to take public transport to be more independent as well and see for themselves, there are poor people all around us. The problem with the rich is they can use $$ to blind themselves from societal problem. thumbs up

Talking about " poor people " . You know, chinese are normally " thin skin " . I am quite certain, there are thousands and thousands of people who has not enough to eat. Being " thin skin " " shy " , they will not come out and tell the whole world that they are poor and having not enough to eat. They rather suffer in silence and have a little more prestige in life rather then branded as very poor.  mad So, what happen ? the Govt. will rather tell the whole world that there are very few " poor " people in Singapore.

Thats why the Govt. spent millions and millions on upgrading our surrounding areas and make them more pleasing for outside visitors. Internally , alamak thats the owners problem. Dirty nevermind , tourist will never see the inside, they will only look at the outside and said " WOW. Singapore is GREEN, BEAUTIFUL, RICH and everybody is happy and healthy........the OUTSIDE will tell.  Cry Cry
