Recently in the press, someone asked the Town Council whether is HDB giving value for money collected.
The reply was........The collection goes into the upkeep and maintenance of the common property in HDB estates, such as cleaning works, horticultural works, utilities charges, lifts and pumps maintenance / repairs, building repairs and
management fees.
30 to 40 % of collections goes to their sinking funds for long-term major cyclical maintenance of HDB estates
- like repainting, electrical re-wiring, re-roofing, replacement of water supply systems and pumps, replacement and upgrading of lifts.
So we are all correct to say we pay for the maintenance of the roof gardens, shrubs along the LRT lines. When residents complain the buildings were stained, we also pay for the painting touch up. In short, residents are paying practically for all works done in Punggol North.
Hopfully, those extra works now carried out on the roads in Punggol North , causing traffic jams are not within the scope of the town council.
what are they talking about? the fee goes to maintenance of the common property in HDB estates, such as cleaning works, horticultural works, utilities charges, lifts and pumps maintenance / repairs, building repairs?
1. at my block 652, one of the block number had being wear off for the past years... no body care to bother.
2. the common corridor was so poorly maintenance, cleanliness.
3. the lift also one stupid thing that the door often can't close. in the end can't use the lift at all.
