My SCV decoder set could not power up a few days ago (maybe due to the lightning strike?). Anyway, I called up StarHub immediately to seek help. They came to my place on the agreed date and changed a brand new one for me - Free Of Charge  Smiley. The new one is slimmer and looks 'chio-er'. Picture quality seems the same though.

Peace, the break up of your cable tv images may be due to thunderstorm? The lightning can cause a deterioration of the image. Or you may want to check your cable signal strength. If memory serves me right, press the menu button on the remote, scroll down about 4 or 5 time to select something like 'setup', then look around the display for checking signal strength. A good signal strength should be around 60+ (if I am not wrong). I will have to go back home and check the correct sequence to check the signal strength if you are unable to do so.
