I work shifts, so I sleep from wee hours in morning to noon.
I know we are in a high density estate where the walls are paper thin. But because of the hours I keep, I need to sleep when everyone else is up and about.
I get woken up by
- my neighbours upstairs pacing up and down their flat
- another neighbour shooing and shouting their kids to get ready for school
- probably another one vacuuming the flat
- banging noises, which I assume come from some kids.
Plus, not to mention noise from aircraft and the school downstairs.
Do you think I have a right to go to my neighbours and ask them to quieten down?
I don't think so... But if the neighbours is really inconsiderate, then can just go over knock on their doors and hope as friendly neighbours can "tone down".
On your own side......you can do things to minimise disturbence.
1. Ear plug.
2. Aircondition / sound proof wall to dampen noise
i think in punggol only one room have the thickest wall.....the bomb shelter room aka store room. that room will be quiet if you rest there.(but stuffy may need to install fan in the 2 air vent.
