True. We are still an Asian country, typical Asian thinking & mindset.
They see u in office after office hour = u are hardworking, be it u surf the internet or just walking & chatting.
If u can finish ur job & leave on time = u are not considered efficient, instead u did not put in extra efford.

For S'pore male boss, worse. Mostly got the army mindset. 'I tell u to do it, u just do it, dun ask or suggest.'
