yo, peepz,

i've just received an email from a sender named " Citibank Singapore" < security@citibank.com.sg>, asking me to verify my account information. below are the details of that message.

========================

Dear Citibank Singapore Customer!

For security purposes your account has been randomly chosen for verification.

To verify your account information we are asking you to provide us with all the data we are requesting.

Otherwise we will not be able to verify your identify and access to your account will be denied.

Please click on the link below to get to the Citibank Singapore secure page and login to your account. <http://www.citibanksg.tk/portal/cit...ramevar1=workID>

Citibank Singapore, support department.
Thank you.
=======================

a ring to Citibank's customer service hotline confirmed my suspicion that the message was a hoax.

in my previous encounters, these hoaxes only used names like citigroup, citi, etc. this is the first time i've seen them use " Citibank Singapore", which is more familiar to most of us here in Singapore. their modus operandi is now much closer to home than ever before.

so, people. please take note of this latest scam developement.

cheers!

p.s : please do not click on any of the links provided above. they were only placed there for your reference and information. i've not clicked on them yet, so i am not sure where they lead to or whether they contain any worms or bugs. thank you.
