3 deaths within 4 days.

Within a matter of 4 days, 3 elderly persons were knocked down by motor vehicles while crossing familar roads.

What happen  are they too old ? crossing the roads with one eye closed ? motor vehicles speeding, drivers are reckless, or what ?? Are our authorities trying to do something to prevent such accidents ?

Something has to be done, probably same same lah, send a delegation, go overseas and see what other people had been doing. Than copy ??

From recent press reports, the authorities knew that it is difficult for an elderly to climb  an overhead bridge. It is tiring and may take time and effort. 

The traffic lights may seem too far away, so some may choose the convenient way to cross roads.

At the moment only the LRT stations are equip with lifts, so much safer and convenient to cross to the other side. The only solution probably is to spent some money to install escalators or lifts to overhead bridges.
