Two new Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in Punggol North ( Punggol Field ) known as  Punggol Sails and Punggol Ripples will offer a total of 1,078 HDB flats.

Punggol Sails offer :-

3 room flats : 279 units.
4 room flats : 218 units.
5 room flats : 109 units.

Punggol Ripples offer :-

Studio apartments : 130 units.
3 room flats : 157 units.
4 room flats : 185 units.

Applications for the above units can be submitted on line from 16 Nov. to 30 Nov 2009.

Cost range :  $ 65,000 to $ 92,000 for a Studio Apartment.
                   $ 158,000 to $ 185,000 for a 3 Room Flat.
                   $ 249,000 to $ 305,000 for a 4 Room Flat.
                   $ 332,000 to $ 377,000 for a 5 Room Flat

95 per cent of the supply of two to five -room flats will be set aside for first timers who may need the flats urgently.

On what basic is HDB base on to claim as affordable ? The new BTO for Queenway is 664K for a 5 room flat and it call affordable too ....

Housing project along Punggol Waterway to have eco-friendly features and resort-like designs.

A total of 1,200-unit waterfront project will be launched by middle of 2010.

More than 100 Architectural firms from Europe and Asia took part in the Punggol Waterfront Housing Design Competition and the winner is a joint venture  international firm known as Group8Asia and a local company known as Aedas.
