Punggol to get another petrol station :

HDB offers a 30 year leasehold site in Punggol for a petrol station, making it the second in the area.

At the moment Punggol has only one petrol station and is located at the corner of Punggol Central and Edgefield Plains. At the time when the first petrol station was built, some forumn members were worried about safety and fire problems because it is located only metres away from residential blocks.

This time if there are no changes to the initial building plan, the second petrol station should be situated right besides Treelodge@Punggol. Residents in Punggol will be happy to have another petrol station for convenience,Treelodge residents may not welcome this news because it is too near for comfort.

Treelodge@Punggol is scheduled to be completed by 4th quarter 2010, probably by end year. Some blocks may be completed earlier, others a bit later.

Trial runs and testing of the electrical wiring / systems are in progress. Next to be tested, will be the water / flushing systems of the building , testing of lifts / mechanical systems and finally rain water leakage of the windows.

The 3 blocks facing Punggol Drive 306C, 306D and 305D are in various stages of outfitting window frames, and glass panels.  It will take some time to complete all window panels.

Its only when I get closer to the details on site that
I see some of  the above things
you mentioned are still ongoing or not done yet.

Never judge a builidng by its look alone?  hahaha.

But now its ready!

The petrol station will be built next to Block 305A of Treelodge@Punggol.

Lets take a look at Block 305. Plasterers are working on three " gondolas " grouting the facades facing the LRT tracks and the gable wall facing Punggol Road. Cracks also need to be filled with grout. Once completed prime and finishing coats of paint will then proceed.
