not reall true ba, for shot distances they actually make more money from the $2.70 that they charge u upfront liao, i know of uncles who tell me heng got short trips from customers like me in the non peak period then they go back to Compass point to queue again.

Seriously they should do away w the surcharges and just raise the basic taxi fare so we do not have such cases anymore.

Family is one of the reason i got a car, crap like waiting for public transport and dealing w more crap using them drove me to get a car.
