Hi folks, i'm a staying at blk 192.  A piece of gd news for the residents here!  I've written to the Pasir Ris - Punggol Town Council about this matter and below is their reply:

We would like to inform you that the paintwork for the blocks in your precinct is still under warranty and we have earlier requested the warranty contractor to re-paint the affected areas.  We understand that the warranty contractor will be commencing work on site in Mar/Apr 07.

We thank you for your feedback.

Yours sincerely

p/s: jus a note that they will re-paint the affected areas, NOT the whole block yah? looking forward to a fresh coat of paint, cheers!!!  cheers
only paint those affected area...will it more untidy and ugly..i mean two different tone of colour within the same wall?
my friend told me that the paint so fast wear out can be two reasons at our area,
1. near the sea
2. low quality of paint used

i believe is the combination of both 1 and 2.

Marine Parade flats are not so dirty as Punggol which is supposed to be a brand new estate?

Shenton Way also near the sea, but apparently their buildings are good.

Does this mean that Punggol is a cheap-po estate? No  wonder lah...can buy car but can't even fork out $0.50 for parking.

Actually, its quite disappointing to note that new estates are as old-looking as the mature estates. Only 5 years and Punggol look like that. Can you imagine 10 years down the road? Huh? Huh?

actually if you see those flats that upgrading works were completed about 2, 3 years ago, the condition is equally bad... few months after upgrading, the paint already became very dirty and there were patches... as for those that are near parkway, they've just got a new coat of paint early last year...
