Don't worry. Just knowing where we are !

No one can fix this typical issue in this country for more than 3 years+.
All can talk very well such as HDB and LTA.
No one will take any action to face the real world issue!

Background:
Our importer car is right-hand seat for the driver. So it is the British standard.
Then the traffic flow is to drive on left hand side unless overtaking.

On the other hand, the car has left-hand seat for driver. So it is USA or China standard.

Issue 1: HDB applies the USA traffic flow standard against our country standard.
Issue 2: The driver is unable to switch from British standard to USA standard in a short time.

LTA replied me . It is HDB problem.
HDB replied me.  It is more safe to switch USA standard.

My conclusion : It is a typical example for  GOV depts' working attitude around the world!
It is No exception in here too.

Dear Mr Hung,

THE STANDARD OF TRAFFIC FLOW DIRECTION
FEEDBACK NUMBER: 313926

I refer to your feedback of 09-DEC-2005 and our subsequent tele-conversation on the matter.

I understand you are concern about the design of the road system within the HDB’s multi-storey carpark at Blk 650 Punggol Road. You have indicated that the road system there is not following the usual traffic flow direction for a right-hand-drive vehicle.

We wish to explain that major roads managed by LTA are designed for right-hand driving. However, along selected connecting access/service roads, we may change the design convention due to the unique site condition. In such cases, signs and markings will be clearly used to guide motorists.

We will be forwarding your feedback to HDB and they should be replying to you shortly.

Once again, we thank you for your feedback.

Yours sincerely,
