Danger Zone. This basketball Court infront of Blk 171C should have barriers or even better demolish and built it somewhere else. Once I witnessed a woman with a baby got hit by a basketball while walking beside the basketball court. Thank god the tiny baby wasn't hit. Most folks going to Punggol Plaza still prefer to walk into the basketball court towards Punggol Plaza, which is of course on a convenient direction. Sadly i wonder those architects who design this leisure ground and the area ever come across to their mind on how to make a path which will be more convenient for people staying in Blk 161+, 162+, 642+ etc. to go their ONE,ONLY & NEAREST marketing place.

Agree...it should have barriers at least. or better demolish!!!

My wife and kid were once victim of a flying basketball coming straight at them. My son was spared but it hit my wife on the head. Worst those guys playing even didn't say SORRY !!

As I mentioned many times before....the design for Punggol from the way the flats are arranged that makes people complain abt drips or litter from above flats to the "covered" carparks that allow only shelter from drizzle but not heavier rain to now this thing with the basketball court....It is designed by people who probably never even stays in HDB flats or dont do their research .What is worst? The people who approved it!
Problems faced by us are highlighted to the TC .HDB. MP and police and not one can be rectified..Even an opening of windows from other units sound like the guy is doing it in anger. Just browse through the forum and read all the happenings going on.

I stay at 166 and have walk that way quite often.I don't play basketball at all,but I would say the fault is with those walking too near the court's or cutting across the court when there's people playing there.
The court is already there,we should simply just give them a wide berth,I walk with my 2 kids and with stroller 2 years ago.No problems at all.
Give and take, don't expect everyone to accomodate you.
Give those player a place to enjoy themselves, stopby once in a while to watch them play. thumbs up cheers
