About the instructor:
Lynn Hwang
She graduated from Nanyang Technologial
University, National Institute of Education with a
Bachelor of Arts with Diploma in Education. She is
trained in both primary and secondary levels,
specialising in English Language and Visual Art.
She was awarded a certificate of achievement in
1992 for being the top art student in Crescent Girls'
Secondary. And was awarded certificate of merit
for a Nation-wide Painting Competition in 1998.
When She was an Art Education Officer with
Ministry of Education, she was awarded
Outstanding Contribution Award (Individual) in
2002. She was also an invited speaker for Ministry
of Education in one of their recruitment exercises
in 2002 for art teachers. In 2003, She was invited to
write an article for Ministry of Education - Art Unit,
Curriculum Planning and Development Division and
it was circulated to all the schools in Singapore. In
2004, she was one of the organising committee
members for Singapore Youth Art Festival.
She was also a freelance writer cum designer and
published a booklet titled 'The Mod Duette' for a
wedding fair at Fort Caning Park. It was distributed
at Fort Canning Legends, Singapore Art Museum and
Club Chinois.
