No recommendations but one caution... be careful of the Taxi drivers if you flag them down on the road... take down their licence plate number just in case got complaint later... there are many stories of people kena cheated by taxi drivers cause bring to wrong restaurants(where taxi drivers get commisions) or brought on a long drive
oh, forgot to mention something very impt abt the taxi drivers... before you hop into the taxi, must make sure the driver agrees to run on meter. lotsa taxi drivers will want to set a fixed fare cos' going by meter is always cheaper. agree on running the meter before u guys go into the cab or you dun hv much say once u r on the "thieves' ship". oso, for safety reasons, the man (not the women or kid) boards the cab first, and alight last.

Yup will do. Am going with wife, sister and mum so 4 of us can share in a cab.

Give those people who appraoched you with special itenary a miss
Don't try to belive you are ever so lucky to be the "chosen one" or
to be so lucky to be able to visit a certain place that only open for that particular day only!! is there such thing?Huh?Huh?  stick tongue

Yeah be very careful you tell the driver to switch on his meter. And make sure you have small change on you, if you give them too big a note before handing him even something like 500baht when the ride cost 100+baht they'll tell you no change and will try to keep the 500. It happened to me before. The driver kept insisting he have no change until i lost my temple and started shouting at him than he "suddenly" remembered he have change....... mad

And a must go place for me when i'm in bangkok esp MBK(dunno how to spell the full name) It's pronouce as "MarBuKong" something like dat lar.. :p Sorry. Inside MBK on the 4th floor there's a japanese restuarant named "Siao Chuan"(Small Boat) it's dirt cheap if your a sashimi siao like me and if you take beef the must order is the hotplate beef steak it's outta this world man and not to mention it's dirt cheap! lol My wife and me practically ordered until our table was full of food including a sashimi boat, the whole meal cost me less than $70 which we did a calculation if we ordered the same thing in SG it'll cost us near to $300SGD... So it's a must go. Damn now i'm starting to drool liao.... I WANNA GO BANGKOK!!!!!  Grin Hope that is useful.
