2.     The KPE is a 12-km expressway that stretches from the East Coast Parkway (ECP) to the Tampines Expressway (TPE). With nine kilometres of the expressway constructed as an underground tunnel, the KPE will be the longest underground expressway in South-East Asia upon its completion in 2008.

Have they considered about the effect of earthquake?

someone who to the Straits Times forum on Wednesday. He said that the stretch of the road whereby KPE joining ECP before the Sheares bridge is another CTE part II. That part is another bottle-neck.

Why these designers do not plan and foresee about the volume mah? I thought they have a stimulation software to calculate and design to cater for max volume of cars joining.

If LTA is so smart to anticipate jam in KPE, then why in the first place didn't design to cater for the expected volume. Perhap beside the technical design, they also design where to jam the expressway, so that revenue collected can cover the construction cost. Revenue already started to roll in during the first week of opening becos of the speeding caught by the camera.

is it could be done on the purpose to create a bottle-neck? So as to generate revenue?

It is easy to erect an ERP gantry, it is easy to widen roads as well.
