Value for money car to me is:
- VIOS (higher servicing bill, told by some vios owner compare to CITY)
- CITY (more family look on 4th generation model)
- LATIO (FC almost as good as above 2 model 12~14km/L)

hmm have been reviewing 2nd hand cars for a while now, since my wife and my income went up abit. Im loking at 2 year old Toyota Vios now, got couple on the market selling for like $38K to $40K, i calculated using the instalment calculator in SGcarmart, for a 7 year loan at 2.98% i can get a car for $500 a month, loan amt is 35K.

Think I will probably get one soon, cannot tahan the one hr journey going to my work place (Novena) damn tiring. I think to avoid paying too much ERP I will go by Punggol East, Serangoon Road, turn right into Bradell Road, Turn into Thomson Road then kena one ERP only.

However, I start work at 7.30 so i probably will miss most of ERp anyway Smiley do you guys think I should get a 2nd hand vios at $35K loan ($500 monthly) or should I get a new car?

I feel 2nd hand ok bah, me first time owner, somemore loan for  years only... I going to rent a car one day drive to work see how is the traffic condition on the road i propose above in the morning, is there a jam in the morning say 8am?
