i used to drive a toyota liteace.......well bro, cutting the wire is illegal,as when and where if you're being stopped by the police espescially ROV its automatic a fine of $70......what i did before i used a pin and puncture the middle of the buzzer,and it minimised the sound,there's still the buzzing but very soft......very much less irritating.

Thanks hanzspeed. I just cut the wire but carefully tapped it up again with black tape so it doesn't appear cut. Do the police check the buzzer if they catch you for speeding? I have been caught once for speeding but they never do check the buzzer. Maybe I should connect it back and take your advice in puncturing the buzzer. I was thinking of taking a bucket of water and pouring it into the buzzer so it short circuits.

normally ROV will check for sure....as for TP they are more concern about the traffic regulation, but when u go for inspection they sure check

thanks. I have not been checked by ROV before so won't know. hmm... inspection is a problem though. I guess I have to "drown" my problem then. =) or poke it to death...
