Thanks! Pinkcoral. Smiley Have u went to Gold Coast before? I will spend 2 days in Brisbane, following days will be at Gold Coast. I am planning to find some places which suitable for family with elderly and young child... heee..

Hi blursotong.  Yes I've been to Gold Coast.  It's a beautiful place. 
There are many resources for information online.  I remember emailing NZ tourism board for information they sent me full colour pamplets and brochures via email.  I'm sure we could get those for australia as well.  Try the Australian tourism board.

very quickly...take the quicksilver for diving/snorkelling to the barrier reefs. Not cheap but got buffet (Singaporean's favourite past time). Get the tickets to all the nice theme parks along the beach strip. Buy a set instead of individually.

The beach strip is fun at night make sure bring tripod.

If there is some time, try out surfing classes

There is also dolphin lagoon visit.
