Dental Inn

I went for scaling and polishing at Dental Inn ( Punggol Plaza ) and when I asked why the polishing was not done after scaling, the dentist, Dr How said it's been replaced with the salt spray polishing.

I was charged SGD 35 for Scaling and polishing and another SGD 15 for the salt spray polishing.

When I asked another dentist abt it, He told me I was cheated and short changed.

Don't visit them, try yr luck some other place !

I must say I totally disagree. Dental Inn has always been upfront about their charges to me, and they don't even charge anything for a consultation. Besides, their charges are displayed clearly at reception so the onus was at least partly on you to verify the charges. I guess they could have taken the initiative to inform you, but I don't think they're completely to blame here.

Also, you'd think that if you asked another dentist (competitor), hey'd tell you that their rival had cheated you (so as to get your business)?

Just FYI, I've tried salt spray polishing at least once before. It's supposed to be a less intrusive form of polishing, apparently more effective too. In any case, I hope you've verified the charges with Dental Inn. I f they've made a mistake, the least they deserve is to know that they have done so. The receptionist is a little blur, so you might want to do that before complaining about anything.
