nowadays, Airport is not only for receive/send friends.
Changi Airport is a place of interest.

- dining
- open area to run (your kids)
- reading corners (for teenagers cramming during SA)
- romantic strolls

What our kiddos did at T3 :
- kiddie rides http://sengkangbabies.blogspot.com/2010/03/chan...-kiddo-rides.html

T3 has a very poor shop mix.   Some of the shops there
are not attracting people to go there to shop.

Imagine selling traditonal 'spices' and health products like
Sunglass Hut, Eu Yang San, GNC etc ....in an airport!
And in Lifestyle you dont find the regular sports wear.
What you find are expensive, rare high priced
goods - some of which I have never seen before!

Cant the airport marketing dept see that these shops are not
crowd pullers even in our heartland shopping centers?

The only nuisance in Changi I find are the students who take up
alot of space supposedly to study .

I know that successful  students in Singaproe
DO NOT study at the airport.  Because
it is not the place to study.  But it is a good place
to socialise, stay away from home and an excuse
to study.

Other than the above, I still shop at Changi Airport regularly.
It is not crowded with foreign workers from India and Bangladesh.
These workers tend to go out together in big herds, unlike other
foregin workers.

I think once the new T1 viewing mall is completed,
it should be a fantastic new experience for changi airport luvers.

Because in there you can wine and dine
as you watch airplanes coming and going very close to you.
