Good day to all expecting mothers,
I am here looking out for those of you who may be open to documenting your childbirth on video.
I am a casting director for an upcoming local feature film 'ILO ILO' by award-winning director Anthony Chen.
Background story: This is a 90 min movie dealing with the relationship between a family of 3 and their newly employed maid set against the backdrop of the 1997 Asian financial crisis. There is a pivotal final scene of a real born baby that signifies a new beginning for the family.
Our main actress, will be performing her role in the film during her actual third tri-mester. She is expecting a baby girl in August 2012. Our camera team will be shooting her childbirth in August so as to incorporate the beauty of the delivery into the narrative of the movie. However, our production team is looking at an alternative opportunity to shoot this important delivery because our actress's delivery is one shot and we may risk not getting a good shot.
Hence, we are looking for Chinese mothers expecting delivery in the last week of June, 25th to 30th June 2012.
We need a baby girl because it is mentioned in the script that the actress is expecting a girl.
For all mothers out there who doesn't mind us capturing the moment of your child birth for our film, please contact us. (The video will not capture the mother's body at all because we are obliged to keep the movie at a PG rating. Hence, we will only video the baby after it is out of the womb.)
