Hi there,

Any anyone travelled with a young child 16mths to Korea during the winter?

1) What are the precautions that have to take in terms of clothing?
2) Does anyone have winter wear to give away? For BB boy? Can accept red, but no pink pls. Grin
3) Is Seoul BB friendly?
4) Any good place to bring BB?

My boy is a fussy pot and big screamer. MIL is still considering if we should go. Anyone out ther has any advice to help convince her that we need a break. Haven't been out of Singapore for 2 years since grounded from pregnacy.

Cheers,
Sara

Hi Sara,

I've been to Korea in winter time during my honeymoon there, it was very cold.
I remembered that I even purposely bought a long winter coat there(those type that goes down to the kneel level) because I could feel the cold wind gush into my tigh though I did wear a leg warmer inside.
Personally I would never consider to bring such a young bb to a very cold weather country, because if bb catch a cold there is no joke it can even lead to pneumonia. And not forgetting that it'll be very dry too, adult can even get nose bleeding.
The only place that is bb friendly will be the Lotte World.Did you sign up tour package ?
One thing I worry for you is, inside the tour package , they'll bring you to a mountain for skiing and scneary picture taking which I think is not suitable for young bb . When you go up to this mountain which require you to wear a special shoes (like those with jaws) and attach to yr own shoes. This is make friction so that when you walk or climb it'll not be slippery. Can you imagine if you or hubby needs to carry him and climb up the mountain.
You have to prepare for him besides the winter coat but also hat and those cover the ears. If you said yr child is fussy type, do you think he is willing to wear all these ?
