Should find out more info and details from your friends who made that claim. Its unlikely that the insurance company will not pay if the claim is legitimate. The sum assured in your policy is guaranteed, and they will have to pay it should one of the stated events occur.

I find it hard to believe that an MNC can cheat people lawfully. The insurance contract afterall, is a legal contract bound by law, and when they state that the sum assured is "guaranteed", they are bound under the law to pay it.

If you want to know more, take the exam. There is a paper for it. Its good to take. I took and passed the exam, although I do not sell any insurance. For General Knowledge.  thumbs up
