1 more thing to added on... can someone oso help to write to either POSB/DBS/OCBC to set up atm in this area? We desperately need one in this vicinity without going all the way to PP/ ECON or SPC....

this is something that the RC (residents committee) in that area should take a hand in, for the benefit of residents. take a look at whether its HDB setting the guide rent too high, or both Prime and Budget Value overbid for the shop.

if its the tenant bidding too high.. its the business fault; but if HDB sets a high base rental although most businesses renting shops in that area has failed.. HDB has a good part of the responsibility.

a minimart or supermarket is an essential facility.

Northern Hope, the medical specialist centre in Punggol Plaza was a sad case.

of course rental is only a part of business cost, but if need be, rental should be reduced or totally waived initially, such that residents can enjoy the services, rather than to have businesses close shop.

I can't wait for a mart to set up there soon. So that i do not have to travel all the way to NTUC or Compass Point for my grocery shopping which is usually heavy.

I agree cos sometimes i am also carry heavy groceries back from Punggol PP, Prime or Econ...
The distance is more than 1-2 bus stops away......
