From student point of view, worst, gets to see the real teacher in whole year only 4 mths of teaching. 4 mths maternity leave, June, Nov/Dec holidays, Sept and March holidays. Who'll get the recognition? the relief teacher or the full time job teacher?

From boss point of view, the employee is productive meh? Every now and then, take leave....how to work. No wonder foreign talents are in high demand.

want to see employee and yet let employee take care of child?
teleworking with webcam la.
USA already so common. Employer can see employee at work and at the same time can take care of child.
Moreover can ease the traffic flow during peak hours in morning.

Its the mindset of employers that do not change after so many years. You can be in office 24 hours and yet do not deliver results.
