The daughter of the former PM of Malaysia visted Singapore recently and was impressed with the cleaninest, the cab service, the airport and internet connections to name a few.
Just imagine how lucky we are to live in Singapore
She said, " The sheer efficiency of the whole place ( Singapore ) sometimes comes as a blessed relief after the irritating unreliability of some of our services. ( Malaysia ).
Efficiency 1 . Her friend called for a taxi to Changi Airport for her, and she was amazed that her friend did'nt actually have to talk to anyone to book the taxi. It's all done over the mobile phone. Press certain numbers and
, you are told that a particular taxi is headed your way in about 5 to 10 minutes. The taxi arrived on the dot as promised.
She said the Singapore taxi is extremely clean.
In her home town, you dial up the taxi company, hang on until they deign to answer, you have to put up with someone who is rude in a language unknown to most humankind. After you've given your details, they then tell you, " NO TAXI".
Efficiency 2. At Changi airport, she claimed, one of the most noticeable things is the numbers of old people working there.
this is the way to keep pensioners gainfully employed. In Malaysia, people had to be imported to work in the airport pushing trolleys.
Efficiency 3. Her internet connection had been down for more than a week. She persistenly complaint to the service provider and the service provider is not interested to come over to see what's wrong. In Singapore things are better off, hopefully..............
