Another gutter cover you need to look into is under
the kitchen sink.

I discovered this is the favorite hiding and breeding
place for these tiny fruit and moth flies.

These flies can actually
pose a health threat to your babies.

Because the flies  move from one house to another
via the drain pipe -  only at late night.

These insects seem to know that our drainpipes (gutters)
are usually dry at night (people sleeping).

So if they bite and suck the blood of a diseased person
they could spread that virus to your baby.

My flat is now free from fruit flies, almost 100%.  It was different a few months ago
fruit flies came from nowhere whenever I left some food on the table.

No only occasionally a few fruit flies would get into my flat,
so I make it a point to close my kitchen windows when the
kitchen is not in used.  Grin

But tiny moth flies still try to breed inside the drain pipe
which means I need to remve these almost daily.

These moth flies are stuck on the wet plastic paper
I put under the drainage cover.

I use instant coffee plastic bag, soak it wet, before putting it
under the cover.
