if anyone likes to order cheesecakes in bulk, i know of a very good supplier.. he supplies to alot of major restaurants.. i miss his oreo cheesecake most   Cry

i suspect they get from supplier one lah..  alot of restaurants and hotels get from suppliers, don't bake it themselves.  the commercial oven is very big and expensive.  sometimes what the suppliers charge them is just a small fraction.. but coz they sell in "posh" places, they mark up very high.  for eg,  french bread rolls, the cost is only 15cents each if you order 100 rolls.  but restaurants, they can sell it for $4.50 for a basket of 3 (whereas the cost is only 45cents).  yet, alot of people love the bread.  so they buy lah.. sometimes go for 2 baskets if they want to dip in the sauce or soup.

if you ask them, do you make it yourselves?  80% will say, yes, they do.  but actually.. if their kitchen is small, they don't specialize in baking.. chances are they ordered from someone else.  so it's totally bullshit
