not much competition in punggol.. so the shops just charge whatever they like..

i saw the tender schedule posting for the 1st 24-hr coffeeshop in punggol.. the rent they bid for is $100,000/mth. how to survive? well, simply pass on the costs to the stores.. and the stores pass on to us. the people who benefits the most is HDB.

well i must say the food at punggol plaza koufu...SUCKS....not nice yet so expensive....i don't mind travelling to get great food, at least its satisfying....i frequent JLN KAYU

Wah at least you have car to travel far. I am stuck in Punggol. Last time worst. Only got that 24 hr GM coffeeshop. Everything so ex. And remember the food court at the 106 series, I had at least 4-5 times food poisoning eating the mixed veg rice food. There were so many flies there even though it was an air conditioned food court. Luckily they cannot survive and move off liao 8)

Feel that we seem to be paying so much more for food here in Punggol. Maybe because the store people cash in on us being "die die must eat here" so they charge much higher, compared to mature estates like Bedok, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang.

but at least as you all are non muslim i presume
have quite a variety of choices
for muslim like me really got problem getting food
all the muslim stall food are average.......the one at 600+ the food is tasteless

so no choice........usually dinner is at yishun/clementi/marine parade/beach road/pasir ris/tampines/sengkang banquet before heading home
