Kopitiam has to get so big. To be able to qualify to charge us gst, the company must have a revenue of 1 million. Who is kopitiam anyway? Why are they enroaching into residents' neighbourhoods. Let the small timers make a living. Kopitiam is a franchise right? They are everywhere. Blk 108, blk 600+, they are in airports, and in compass point. remember where you can use the kopitiam card and get discount from eating in the kopitiam in compass point.
Stay in your air-conditioned food courts and stay away from our neighbourhoods. We want an affordable meal.

Eating in restaurants, pay tax, i have nothing to say. But in a coffeeshop???

well... that seafood stall is not owned by kopitiam. it rent from them.

when i realized that they are charging GST i was also shocked... as i am also in the F&B (food court) line b4 for 7 years, they are the first ever seafood stall in coffee shop charging GST....

think they charge the gst becos they register their company to GST. so they have to charge? anyway, it was really expensive, if the food is very nice i still ok.. but.... sigh.... living cost is really very very high now....

 I pay a $1.10 for a chicken wing there.

I realised that the whole coffeeshop charges gst.

With gst, i should pay pay $1.07 for a chicken wing. Not $1.10

Its disgusting, im telling my neigbours  n friends to boycott the coffeshop.
