Lift Doors that doesn't like u!

The ones at my block don't work that way

For some weird reason the lifts at my block like to stop and open their door on the 10th lvl most of the time. To me it like they just seem to have a mind of their own which is abit freakish to me coz there was this time i was at the lift lobby outside my house smoking and the lift actually came up from the 1st floor and open it's door on my floor... Than for no reason at all i just decide to say "Hello" and the door close immediately and procced to the ground floor... lol  btw i don't stay on the 10th i stay higher up.

i think the lifts have some "intelligence" programmed in. they will move up and down based on movements of the other lifts.

usually, for blocks with 2 lifts, you will see one of the lift on the ground floor, the other will be on a higher floor. in your case, its the 10th floor.. other blocks may be 14th floor etc.

then if someone goes in the lift on ground floor, and takes the lift up to high floors, the lift on the 10th floor will go down to the ground floor..

i suppose the lifts might have some kind of schedule built in as well.. i.e. at night, people coming home.. try to wait at ground floor.. in the mornings, try to anticipate people going out to work etc.
