I live on the 16th floor and love to keep my windows open to get some breeze into the house.. I often get cigarette ash all over the floor coz I think my neighbours upstairs smoke and simply flick their ash out the window.. It happens both in the living room and kitchen.. It's worse in the kitchen coz the ash gets onto my utensils and baby bottles and I have to wash them again.. Sigh! When will they learn to be more considerate..

Just venting..

Unless u know who...u can do something... next time you smell smoke.. keep an eagle eye, look up look down see where it is from. Ask your friendly neighbour politely to please step out of his house to smoke and not out of the window where it will affect his surrounding upstairs downstairs neighbours. I get the same problem too, ash on my windows.. and the smell in my house. Smokers have de-sensitised sense of smelling. So they may not know... N to them, its freedom to smoke in their own house, wont get fined. Cigarette smell is like heaven to them.

Maybe should have a 'smoking corner' in HBD where all the smoker gather. Smoking is something they've in common.
