Our Housing chief, visited a batch of 180 newly converted rental flats in Woodlands said," The housing board was getting an increasing number of applications from the elderly, as well as divorcees with kids in tow applyng to rent a flat. Grin

He exclaimed, " Some of these applicants already own homes but were looking to sell them and move into subsidised rental housing to save money.  winked

He stressed, " If you owned a bungalow, you sold it, you wait for 30 months, to be fair to others, you should'nt be joining the queue. This statement is quite shocking. I was thinking if any one of us in Punggol  owns a BUNGALOW, we should be worth a few million dollars. Why should we queue up to rent a one room HDB flat ?We could easily afford a condominium and still have millions in our bank account to enjoy living. Right Pungollians.  cheers Is a millionaire willing to suffer in a one room rented flat ? WHAT A JOKE  Shocked
