A simple man with simple thinking......

The whole episode sounds like driving in a round about ( round abouts are at traffic road junctions in the 1960' s, now replaced by traffic lights ).

First : We bought a property direct from HDB.

Second : HDB appoints whoever to construct the flat......That we don't care, we should not be interested.

Third : Contractors are a complicated lot. There are piling contractors, concretors, bricklayers, mason, electrical, mechanical, breaking down to floor tilers, pipefitters, glaziers and many many more.........

Problem : If our flat collapse.....do we stand  a chance to look for the piling contractor ? Most of us will be dead....... ( touch wood ).

So ? WE SHOULD ONLY DEAL WITH HDB ( the main contractor ). It should be the duty of the main contractor ( HDB ) to liase with whoever is the supplier / sub-contractor to get our problems retified.

In fact, we have no right to instruct the contractor to redo our tiles. Who are we ? HDB should be the one who should be doing it. It's so simple right ? If the contractor refuse or delay HDB , in future HDB should bar the contractor from tenders.
