Well, the thing about RC is we don't get to see them work cause they work after office hours. Guess that's why we feel that RC members are working only on certain events like National Day, during Election...where they start cleaning up places when MP is visiting...hhee
Then again, maybe we are wrong since they are all volunteers, and the time spent on organising, meetings and receiving complaints, coordinating with authorities involved takes a LOT of their time.
Guess Velentine was trying to tell us that we should be more understanding to their work in the community. But I must say the owndership belongs to residents if you want to know what RC you are in or the activities they organise, just check the noticeboards..that's what they are for, isn't it ? Be more proactive and not passive.
How can one help to improve the environment or the community if one don't serve in the RC?
? RC could just be one of the avenues.
Take heart, fellow punggolians...want a better environment, then we have to work together..
Remember, punggolians BE MORE CONSIDERATE, BE MORE HELPFUL, BE MORE THOUGTHFUL and KIND IN WORDS AND DEEDS.....
