Pictures taken from the Punggol MRT Station. In front of Punggol Regalia is the temporary bus terminal.

Hopefully, the new shopping complex in Punggol Central will include a new bus terminal similar to the ones in Ang Moh Kio Hub or Compass Point.

Lets take a look at those blocks along Punggol Place.

All those blocks are progressing at almost a similar speed, an additional one and a half or two more floors on the average per month. These are the wanders of pre-fab construction. Traditional method of construction in the 60's are very much slower.

A word on what are used in modern constructional methods.

The demountable cage " a system consisting of handrailings, covered nettings, bolts and nuts" are used to protect workmen when working outside the building.

The overhead tower crane is used for hoisting completed pre-fab units and other building materials.

The external vertical elevators are used for transporting workers up and down the building.
