Alamak... Singapore is richer than most so call developed nations. Most of our fore-fathers came here from China and worked as coolies ( labourers ), they dug trenches, pulled electric cables, built roads, houses and did all the dirty jobs before we are born. They suffered right ? as shown on TV before each National Day.  mad

The generations after that , who are they ?

Now Singapore exported expertise overseas........setting up Seaports , Roads, Infrastructures, Airports, aha even bought part of Banks, telecom services etc. Who are sweating before this ? Our fore-fathers who brought us up. Soon we will be fore-fathers to younger generations to come. What is the cost of installing lifts to show appreciations ?  head banging

One more thing................we have no water right ? Our neighbour hope one day we will die of thirst. Now what happened ? Singapore is helping a few countries to tap water. Which country ?........Middle-East.

So do we think we need to provide lifts to overhead bridges for disable, elderly and dis-advantage citizens, whose fore-fathers suffered so much in the 1900's. Cry

I rather they leave things as it is...
Elevators for the overhead bridges? Followed by increase in GST or conservancy fees higher than condo maintenance fees? I wouldnt want tat for sure!
Remember...increase in improvements = increase in cost = a need to increase in revenue in some way... so end up who will pay?? up to u to define..

it is not 100% gurantee that they will make a change.. anyway, all these fees are going up no matter what happen.. and its only an upwards trend up up up... so why not suggest to the authories to make our life better?

the authorities are not the one using the facilities, but it's us!!... we keep quiet they will take it as everything they do is fine and good wor... and that's not always the case.
