The rooftop flooring of Carpark blk 109 along Punggol Field was resurfaced last year, with months of noisy drilling and hacking.

To our horror, it is now laid with a cement and pebble mixture that is incredibly sharp and dangerous! The pebbles are basically tiny stone chips that have not been rounded off or finished in any way, so good luck to you or your small kid who happens to fall on that surface, you will be guaranteed multiple lacerations and deep scrapes and wounds where you contact the ground!

In the first place we could not see why they needed to replace the old flooring that was a mixture of cement and SMOOTH rounded pebbles, which was still in very good condition. Now, the pathways and open areas there are so dangerously scratchy and sharp, you can literally feel it tearing at the soles of your footwear as you walk.

We can't bring our kids to the nice playground there anymore. The kind of harm that can come to them if they happen to fall is going to be horrible. I can't risk it.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Resident of Blk 110A Punggol Field.

Just to add, I've sent an email to the town council on this matter and hope something will be done.

i am hving the same doubts abt the materials they hv selected for the so-called upgrading.

initially, we had granite wall & floor tiles at our lift lobby, but after the "upgrading" it was replaced with cheap ugly looking ceramic tiles. I had questioned TC on their poor taste in the overall design & color selection & was brushed off that the tiles were selected by the committees of RC .... are they good for nothing bunch of blood suckers!!!!!! wasting our $$$$ on a downgrading project!!!!!!!
