Ikea ?? sure lah IKEA is going to be OK.  First you have big flats, so you need big sets of furnitures. Now HDB is building smaller flats, so people need to buy smaller furnitures. IKEA smart, he follows HDB........sure can stay long long. Ang Moh  furniture shops make local furniture shops bankrupt.   Shocked

Ya. With their power-arm tactics, and more holding power, they could sell at much lower prices to crush out the small local shops.

Me and hubby compared prices and found tat Giant is actually not really dirt cheap compared to NTUC. Esp toiletries. The only things tat are worth buying are the raw food and some promo items.

Some items tat u may be interested:
New Moon Abalone sauce               2.60 (NTUC)      2.50(Giant)
Gain IQ                                       46.80               44.95
Drypantz                                     17.20               17.20
Mama Poko                                  15.20               16.40
Clean & Clear Facial wash               8.40                  9.90
**Prices Based on 31st March

Its very aunty to be so calculative. But its these dollars and cents saved tat will decide if its worth to waste our petrol there...
