Air Pollution in Punggol and Sengkang area !!!

About 9:00pm today, I was walking in Sengkang area, a kind of strong smell attacked my nose.  I suspected the smell came from North area because it came with the wind from North.  I took MRT to Punggol.  Just when I came out of the station, I could smell seriously offensive odour in the air.  The smell is the same as that in Jurong area.  I am familar with it because when I stayed at hall in NTU, the irrating stink visited us at times. 

Are there any people who also smell the odour?  Anyone know whether there are any oil related industries or other chemical industries around Punggol area?

oh yes. I remembered now. It was Sat night 11 Nov 2006 at around 9:00pm.

We happened to unwind the car window because someone sneezed in the car. There was  strong chemical smell. Could it be from UMC?
