Almost three weeks later, the first section of the " park connector " from the TPE Expressway towards Punggol East is almost complete with lightings installed.

The reinforce concrete ( rc ) viewing platform in place, work to continue.

Workers are deployed in various sections along the river. This group are busy fabricating steel reinforcements on site for the reinforce concrete kerb.

Somewhere at the mid section, workers are fixing wooden formworks in preparation for concreting.

It was estimated that the whole project known as " Proposed environmental improvement works " should be completed by first quarter of 2011. ( by the National Parks Board )

It is heartening to see that the stairs leading from the park connectors to the various refreshment outlets comes with wheelchair friendly ramps.

Although a sports hub is plan at this location, so far there is no sign of activities going on.
