HDB is planning to build the biggest shopping complex in Punggol Central, as big as Junction 8. So future housing developments in Punggol may be concentrated in Punggol Central to bring in more residents.

Punggol Central is bounded by the main Punggol Road right up to Punggol Point, Punggol Way right up to part of Sengkang East including Compass Point Shopping Centre.

Punggol Sapphire, Punggol Regalia and Punggol Arcadia are within Punggol Central. Next coming up are Punggol Emerald and Punggol Waves.

Punggol Sails and Punggol Ripples offers a total of 1,078 standard flats.

1. Studio apartments 130 units costing $65,000 to $92,000 per unit.
2. Three room flats 436 units between $158,000 to $185,000
3. Four room flats 403 units between $249,000 to $305,000
4. Five room flats 109 units between $332,000 to $377,000

When the actual construction work begins, we will bring you the up-to-date progress reports.

Recent press reports of a new mosque to be built in Punggol by 2013 also happens to be in Punggol Central. It is estimated to cost 15 million and the most expensive ever built.

The mosque, will be built on a site equivalent to ten tennis courts and will serve 4000 worshippers.

It sits at the junction of Punggol Place and Punggol Field. Incidentally, this is also where Punggol Sails is located.

Punggol Ripples also include a place of worship on the site plan.

The planning may follow that of Treelodge@Punggol where a chinese temple is situated for the convenience of the residents.
